Not A Vacation.

In the traditional sense, the term “vacation” is dead and outdated. It’s old-fashioned sentiment and reminiscent of something our parents would drag us on as children. The exact definition of being a “tourist.” Today we want an experience. We want to immerse ourselves into a culture and destination alien to our day to day lives. We want an adventure that we can share with the world along with the knowledge we gained, and to encourage others to do the same.

So at the Ace Kyoto, we want to remove the term “vacation” from the lexicon of our guests and replace it with “experiences” that they will have while enjoying the city.

How Do We Do That?

We will reinforce on all media channels through messaging that our guests will not be on “vacation,” but on an adventure. We want to impart a unique experience much deeper and more fulfilling than any typical tourist would ever get.

A Guided Experience.

To help our guests get a truly original experience while staying with us, we need to provide them the tools to do so.

ACE App.

  1. Our app will be our guest’s tour guide to all things Ace Kyoto

  2. API integration with Google Translate (70% of 20-49 yrs do not speak English fluently)

  3. API integration with Line app, Japans primary messaging app.

  4. Ability to connect with a personal tour guide or site-specific guide.

  5. AR (Augmented Reality) integration

  6. Interactive city maps with ACE specific experiences.

  7. Digital wallet

  8. Ability to purchase advanced tickets (if needed) or make reservations at ACE experiences

Throughout the city, at specific ACE experiences, we will have AR integrated posters. These posters once unlocked using the ACE App, will come to life and give a detailed description of the site-specific experience or can communicate any information necessary.

Bring to life the city of Kyoto to encourage guests to come to visit through the use of short-form videos. The ACE channel would house a variety of site-specific walk-throughs, education, and information provided by recognizable hosts, easily relatable to our target age demographic.

Instagram

Through the ACE App, our guests will receive a set of limited ACE only filters to utilize through the Instagram App. We want them to be able to highlight their unique experiences along with helping to promote the property.

It takes months of preparation before a trip like this can actually come to fruition. We want to help every step along the way to ensure that our guests are prepared to have a genuinely original experience. Upon request, we will send out either and printed or digital info packet to our potential guest to start the prep before their journey. We will highlight the city, the property, and all of the highlights. We will also include a checklist of everything we recommend before a trip such as this has begun.

Email

After the guest has received their packet, we can then start sending out time targeted emails. These will highlight milestones, pertinent info, as well as directing them to our Kyoto social channels to experience other information that our previous travelers have shared.
