BAZ.M's journey to where he is today has been long and complicated, but he has emerged from it with a deep sense of purpose and a strong connection to his art. He has learned to channel his pain and struggles into his music, creating something profoundly personal and universally relatable, and he wanted his first solo album to reflect that.

With that, we decided to explore the concept of light and dark, which we saw as two sides of the same coin - both representing the impermanence and constant change that characterize life's joys and sorrows. For him, both light and dark were reminders that even in the midst of difficult times, there is always hope and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. He wanted his music to capture that sense of resilience and optimism, while also acknowledging the reality of pain and hardship.

β€œIt's my belief that history is a wheel. "Inconstancy is my very essence," says the wheel. "Rise up on my spokes if you like, but don't complain when you're cast back down into the depths. Good times pass away, but then so do the bad. Mutability is our tragedy, but it's also our hope. The worst of times, like the best, are always passing away."

- Anicius Manlius Severinus Boethius

Baz had a clear vision for the narrative of his debut solo album and wanted every aspect of it to be carefully curated, including a logo. So we worked closely with him to develop one that captured the essence of his music and would resonate with his fans.
